Hey there! I grew up in the Lansing, Michigan area (go Spartans!), but I currently reside in Royal Oak, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit just a short drive north of downtown. I was very fortunate to have been able to live in NYC for two years, and then Chicago for two years as well, but made the return to my native Michigan roots in late 2022.
Years prior to those experiences, I enlisted in the Marine Corps from 2008 to 2013, where I had the incredible opportunity to work in the West Wing of the White House directly under President Obama. After my enlistment ended, I returned to finish up my Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology with a Minor in Nutrition from Bowling Green State University. I completed two internships in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, where I was able to garner crucial experience in the field.
Over the course of the last 10 years, I have additionally been able to obtain my Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, which afforded me the ability to work in cardiac stress labs administering cardiac stress tests. I also have trained in conventional fitness centers, in group classes, and virtually. I’m extremely passionate about helping everyone achieve their specific health goals!
In Royal Oak, I live with my wife and energetic toddler girl, and our lovable but crazy golden-doodle Lucy. Between spending time with my family (which you may see running around in the background here and there) and enjoying walks/jogs at the park or squeezing in a round of golf, you will likely find me searching for a good movie or new show to watch.
I truly believe that exercise is medicine, and my passion is guiding others to improving their quality of life for years to come!
