Step-by-step instructions

Sit on the leg press machine with your feet on the platform, knees bent, and back against the seat.

Slide your feet down so that only the balls of your feet and toes are on the bottom edge of the platform.

Keeping your legs and torso stationary, press the platform away with the balls of your feet and your toes. Pause briefly at the top of the lift.

Slowly return the weight by bending your ankles until your calves are stretched.

Repeat the motion for the planned number of repetitions. Be careful not to lift your butt off the pad, all the lifting should be done by the calf muscles.
